SIMSA, was established in 1942, concentrating on the development and exploitation of Morococha Unit, located in the District of Morococha, province of La Oroya, Junin region. SIMSA, was founded by Jesus Arias Davila, taking a giant leap in the early seventies of the twentieth century, when it won control of the company Minera San Vicente SA. The company currently specializes in the exploration and mineral content and marketing of concentrates and refined, mainly zinc and lead. The company formed the group San Ignacio de Morococha, along with its three subsidiaries in Peru, in December of 2011, the company record 642 employees, with 151 companies from contractors.
