Ferreyros S.A. (Peru)

Ferreyros S.A. is a company located in Lima, Peru. It was founded in 1922 by Enrique Ferreyros Ayulo and a small group of partners. Initially, the company focused on the commercialization of consumer products. However, twenty years later, Ferreyros made a significant shift by becoming the representative of Caterpillar Tractor Co. in Peru. This decision led to the company exploring new business opportunities and redefining its customer portfolio. In the 1960s, Ferreyros expanded its representation to include other lines of machinery and equipment, such as Massey Ferguson. In 1962, the company was listed on the Lima Stock Exchange, becoming a widely held corporation. In 1981, Ferreyros transformed into a public limited company to reflect its new shareholder structure. Finally, in 1998, it became an open public limited company under the name Ferreyros S.A.A. In 2012, a corporate reorganization took place, resulting in Ferreyros S.A.A. becoming Ferreycorp S.A.A., the holding company of the group. Ferreyros S.A. now focuses exclusively on the commercialization of machinery, equipment, and after-sales service for Caterpillar and its affiliated brands. This new organizational structure allows each subsidiary of the corporation to better focus on providing value to its customers and improve its operational capabilities.
