Siemens Peru is a subsidiary of Siemens Siemens AG of Germany. Siemens started its activities in Peru in the early twentieth century, when built, along with another German company (JM Voith GmbH), 3 hydroelectric plants for the Utility Arequipa, owned Peruvian state. In 1968, Siemens established a branch in Lima. Siemens provides engineering services and solutions in the areas of power generation, automation and industrial control, medical equipment and telecommunications. In the latter, Siemens is focused on two sectors: information and communication networks (voice and data solutions, Internet and cable) and Information and Communication Mobile (mobile, devices, networks, GSM cellular technology).
