Statkraft Peru S.A. was founded in October 2003 under the name SN Power Peru Holding company S.R.L. and in November of the same year it acquired Cahua`s actions and Energy Pacasmayo, companies that were merged on June 1, 2004. In October 2007, the company purchased Electroandes S.A., which became the today known group SN Power Peru that has 8 hydroelectric power stations. In January, 2010, Cahua S.A. was acquired by Electrondes S.A. Finally, in March, 2010, Electroandes S.A. modified its legal name to Statkraft Peru S.A.. The company focuses in the generation, receipt and distribution of electric power in Peru.
