Abdullah Shah Ghazi Sugar Mills Limited, formerly known as Al-Asif Sugar Mills Limited, was incorporated on February 25, 1984, as a private limited company and later converted into a public limited company on February 11, 1990. The company is listed on the Karachi and Lahore stock exchanges. Located in Gharo, district Thatta, Sindh, the mill has a total installed capacity of 3,000 TCD and specializes in producing refined white sugar. In March 2008, Abdullah Shah Ghazi Sugar Mills Ltd was acquired by Macca Group, which now holds over 90% stake in the company. The Macca Group, established in 1965, is primarily involved in sugar and molasses manufacturing, as well as the import and trading of sugar plant machinery. Previously, the company operated under a Toll Manufacturing agreement with Dewan Sugar Mills Limited, but this agreement has been terminated, and Abdullah Shah Ghazi Sugar Mills Ltd now operates independently.
