KGHM is one of the world's largest producers of electrolytic copper and silver. KGHM also produces, among others gold, lead, sulfuric acid and salt. The company employs 18.5 thousand people, while the financial group - around 28 thousand. Annual production of copper fluctuates around 500-550 thousand tons. Copper is produced mainly in the form of refined copper, copper rod and billets of round and is mainly used in the construction sector, electrical and electronic equipment and in the transportation industry. The main recipients of Polish copper are Germany, France, the Czech Republic and China. Its annual production of refined silver is more than 1200 tons. Silver is sold in the form of ingots or granules and is used for jewellery, electronics and is applied in the electrical industry. KGHM is the second-largest producer of refined silver in the world, main customers are the United Kingdom, Germany and Belgium.
