Wagony Świdnica, located in the south-west of Poland, is a company with extensive experience in developing, manufacturing, and maintaining various types of freight wagons and innovative bogies. The company's history dates back to the 1920s when it was established as a repair shop for the German State Railway. After the Polish government took over in 1945, the company continued its repair activities for the Polish Railways and started manufacturing rail freight wagons in 1951. Over the years, Wagony Świdnica has built more than 110,000 wagons of different types. In 1998, the company was acquired by The Greenbrier Companies. In 2011-2012, Wagony Świdnica expanded its operations by acquiring two Polish repair shops. The company serves customers in Europe, North America, and the Middle East, manufacturing rail freight wagons for their specific needs.
