Antell Comunicaciones S.A. (Paraguay)

Antell Comunicaciones S.A. is a telecommunications company located in Asuncion, Paraguay. It was founded in 1998 by Jorge Franco as a sub-agent of Tigo, offering sales points and activating cell phone lines in Asuncion and Gran Asuncion. In the year 2000, Antell became an official agent of Tigo and expanded rapidly, reaching 9 branches. As an agent, Antell sells phones, balance, and provides technical support. Since becoming an agent, Antell has aimed to be the best Tigo agent and achieved this in 2002, maintaining the top position ever since. In 2006, Tigo decided to work with only 3 regional agents, and Antell was chosen as one of them. Antell is responsible for the northern area of Asuncion and currently covers 33% of the national territory. In 2018, Antell diversified its business by representing and distributing consumer brands such as Walla, Royal, and Nativo. They also offer distribution services to other national and international brands within the Greater Asuncion area. In 2019, Antell introduced the Good Deal business unit, which develops applications for companies, such as supermarkets, to collaborate with their suppliers and offer promotions and discounts to customers, thereby increasing store traffic. Antell continues to expand its operations and has plans to create the first fully automated intelligent parking building in Asuncion's Microcentro by 2020. In 2008, Antell expanded its business to Bolivia, replicating its successful model in the cities of Cochabamba, La Paz, El Alto, and Oruro. In 2013, Antell became the main agent in Bolivia, covering 60% of the territory through its companies EFETE, which serves Santa Cruz de la Sierra and Potosi, and 24HS, which serves La Paz, El Alto, Cochabamba, and Oruro.
