In 1895 Ghich Mauritius started the construction of an industrial mill in Alba Iulia named Johana, which actually began it operations in 1898. In 1940 this mill was taken over by the National Institute of Cooperatives as a state enterprise with its own management. In 1973 the company started a secondary activity - bakery. In 1991 are open mills in Aiud , Campeni , Ocna-Mures and bakery plants in Alba-Iulia , Aiud , Ocna-Mures , Blaj , Cugir , Teius, Zlatna, Abrud, Câmpeni si Baia de Aries. Company's shares are traded on the BSE since 17.09.1997
