Cooperative banks are affiliated of CREDITCOOP Cooperative Central Bank, which coordinates and regulates their activity, they oversee the prudential point of view and represent their interests in dealings with governments and other national and international bodies. In September 2002 CREDITCOOP cooperative network receives operating license from the central bank. In 2003 CREDITCOOP Central House becomes a member of the Romanian Banking Association and the European Association of Cooperative Banks.
