Prio Biocombustibil SRL represents Nutre’s production in Romania. Company is founded in 2007, is situated in the locality of Lehliu-Gara, forming an agro-industrial cluster with the remaining companies of the Nutre Group: Prio Agricultura SRL – agricultural production of cereals and oilseeds, and Prio Extractie SRL – extraction unit. The investment in this production unit surged as a result of the growing demand for green-based fuel in the European Union. The company was also pioneer in the biofuels sector, by having one of the first biodiesel production units in Romania, enabling it to establish long-lasting commercial relations that extended until today and to hold a market share of approximately 40% of the Romanian market. Since mid-2012, this unit has been managed by a joint-venture established between the multinational BUNGE and Prio Foods.
