In 1993 Honeywell opened its first sales representative in Romania. In 1998 Honeywell Romania SRL started to deal with automation and control systems supplied by representative companies in Romania, mainly in industries: oil and gas (refinery, petrochemical), energy (power plants, nuclear units), pharmaceuticals (production units), chemical (unit production of chemical fertilizers) and by foreign companies. In 2005, following the company's acquisition of Novar by Honeywell plant in Lugoj, with a history dating back to 1993, is the second production facility in Romania, with the field design, manufacture and marketing of electronic systems safety of life. In 2009, the company was founded Honeywell International Services, which is a regional and global centralized support services for transportation and Corporate Systems Division. In Romania, Honeywell is currently represented by five legal entities, three located in Bucharest and the other in Lugoj, respectively Ploiesti.
