Miele Technica SRL, local representative and subsidiary of Miele&Cie KG, is present in premium consumer appliances. Miele has a business model structured on two complementary sectors: domestic appliances and professional equipment. The group entered Romania in 2007, and mostly develops domestic appliances business. In 2009 the company finished the construction of an electronics component facility near Brasov. The investment was announced in 2007, and the company invested more than 24 million EU in the project. Miele sends the components manufactured in romania, to be assembled in Germany, and the final products are then exported globally. The brand is present in over 40 stores throughout the main urban areas of the country, due to a network of 30 distributors.
