Romplumb company is a state company producing lead in Romania. It was founded in 1990 as a joint stock company in ferrous metallurgy branch, initially called "Firiza Anthem" and in January 1991 and changed its name in Romplumb SA Baia Mare. Our main activity is the obtaining of lead concentrates decuprat selective lead by pyrometallurgically processing lead concentrates vertical shaft furnace type Watter Jacket. The company produces lead ingots decuprat as approximately two tons. In September 2007, Romplumb exceeded 3.5 times the maximum permissible lead pollution indicator and the indicator for cadmium 5.9 times, spewing toxic dust on a surface of over six kilometers in the Baia Mare.
