Rotec SRL is a company located in Buzau, Romania. It was established in 1971 as a state-owned company with the purpose of producing technological equipment for the chemical, petrochemical, metallurgical, and cement industries. From 1971 to 1989, Rotec became the main supplier for the petrochemical industry in Romania, Bulgaria, and Serbia, as well as an important supplier for steel producers such as Sidex Galati, Hunedoara Steel Profile, Stomana Bulgaria, Huta Katowice Poland, Huta Batory Poland, and Krivoy Rog Ukraine. From 1989 to 2001, the company operated as a government-owned joint-stock company. Despite the rupture of relationships with communist countries, Rotec managed to maintain a long economic life in the market due to the skills of its employees and technical equipment. The company also improved its technical equipment, aligning the product quality standards with European requirements. In November 2001, the company was privatized. As a leader in the execution of technological equipment in this region of Europe, Rotec constantly develops to increase the level of quality and diversity of its products. It also seeks new opportunities in developing long-term relationships with major clients. The company works with traditional customers and continuously strives to find new ones, allowing for the completion of turnkey equipment in areas of the world with minimal contact, such as Africa, Asia, and South America.
