The National Company for Natural Gas Transmission Transgaz SA, establishedon 28 April 2000, is the Romanian legal person operating as a trading joint-stock company. The company’s share capital is held by the Romanian State, as the major shareholder, represented by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce. The company’s main activity is the transmission, dispatching, international gas transit and the research-design works in the natural gas transmission field. Transgaz SA is the technical operator of the national gas transmission system, responsible for the good functioning of the system under quality, safety, economic efficiency and environmental protection conditions.
