SC Sometra SA is the only company producing zinc Romanian metallurgical and mining lead concentration, with their attendant reclamation of metals and production of derived therefrom. The company was founded in 1939 as private company stock. In 1992 the company moved to a sustained program of recovery to increase production. Since September 1998, the SC Sometra SA is a member of the Greek holding Mytilineos, current management is working continually for modernization and refurbishment, remediation and improvement of the social climate.
