Teraplast SA (Romania)

Teraplast S.A. belongs to the Teraplast Group, one of the main providers of complete systems and solutions in the field of installations and construction in Romania. The Company has been investing in the technological development and is currently capable of supplying the construction material market with modern, efficient and innovative construction solutions, such as draining, sewage and culvert systems, interior design systems, thermo-insulating joinery systems or exterior enclosure systems based on thermo-insulating panels. In 1977 the first PVC profile and pipe extrusion lines were put in function. In 1990 Teraplast was set up, by the division of the Construction Materials Plant of Bistrita, which included the units producing terracotta tiles and processing plastic materials. In 1992 Teraplast concludes a strategic partnership with the Hungarian company Gemenc Plast Rt, with a view to entering foreign markets by adopting advanced production technologies. Today company is a member of TEPPFA (The European Plastic Pipes and Fittings Association), being at this point the only Romanian manufacturer of plastic pipes and fittings member of this famous European association, and is listed on BSE with a package of 20% of the shares.
