Unicom Wood Production SA (Romania)

UNICOM WOOD PRODUCTION established in 1999, in Rosiori de Vede a factory of processing oak wood by-products (barrel staves, parquet panels, timber for the furniture industry etc.). The factory covers over 20,000 m2, having storage areas for the by-products, maintenance and repairs areas for the processing equipments, offices and locker-room. In 2003 Unicom Wood Production SA accomplished one of the most ambitious projects, for Romania but also for the entire South East Europe - a barrel factory made after the French method called ‘barrique’, having the latest machinery and with the benefit of French professionals. This factory’s production, counting about 50 barrels/day, goes to Romanian top winemakers as well as for export to the biggest world-wide wineries. Starting with October 2003 began exporting to South Africa.
