Vrancart SA was founded in 1997 under the name of Paper and Cellulose Industrial Unit, which was changedin 1992, after the former industrial unit became a joint stock company. Vrancart SA Adjud is one of the largest tissue paper and cardboard manufacturers in Romania. It claims about 35% of the local market and exports mainly to neighbouring countries. Nowadays, Vrancart SA recycles over 25% of the whole amount of waste paper collected at a national level through its own centres. Since July 2005 Vrancart is quoted on Bucharest Stock Exchange.
