Avtotor AO (Russia)

The group of companies Avtotor in 1997 was among the first in Russia to start production of cars of components and assemblies of foreign manufacture. For 11 years within the frames of the project had been signed an agreement on the organization of production cars with the world\'s leading manufacturers, including KIA Motors, BMW AG, General Motors. Each individual investment project is implemented under the agreement, the total investment to date counted more than 380 million euros. Production facilities have now reached 250 thousand cars per year. The main difference between Avtotor is the simultaneous release of more than two dozen models of cars of different brands, including: BMW 3 Series, 5 Series, 7 Series, X1, X3, X5, X6; KIA Magentis, Rio, Soul, Cee\'d, Sportage, Mohave; GM: Chevrolet Tahoe, Cadillac CTS, Cadillac SRX, Cadillac Escalade; OPEL: Astra, Zafira; GM-DAEWOO: Chevrolet Aveo, Chevrolet Lacetti, Chevrolet Epica. In 2010 some 170 thousand vehicles had been produced. Production capacity of the plant is 80,000 cars a year. The production from receipt of components and assemblies and ending production of the car to the warehouse of finished goods is managed by a single control system.
