Limited Liability Company "Bashkir Generating Company (LLC BGK) was formed in July 2006 as part of reforming the Open Joint Stock Company for Power and Electrification Bashkirenergo in accordance with the laws governing the separation of monopoly and competitive activities in the energy sector. Main activity is production of electricity and heat. LLC BGK is a 100 per cent subsidiary of Bashkirenergo formed on the basis of thermal and hydroelectric power. For geographical, technological and economic reasons, the structure of the newly established enterprises twelve branches: Karman Power Plant, Ufa CHP-1, CHP-2 Ufa, Ufa CHP-3, Ufa TPP-4, Salavat CHP Novo Sterlitamak CHP Sterlitamak CHP Priufimskaya CHP, CHP Kumertau, Pavlovsk hydroelectric and thermal power station Trans-Ural. (Yumaguzinskaya hydroelectric production unit is in Kumertau CHP). Bashkir Generating Company - one of the largest domestic producers of electrical and thermal energy. Its installed capacity of 4572.198 MW thermal - 10,478.26 Gcal per hour. These volumes provide a self-sufficient, in fact, redundant power supply system of Bashkortostan.
