Golaz OAO (Russia)

Today GolAZ Bus Plant specialized in manufacturing of tourist coaches and long distance buses. The model range of the plant includes the following products: GolAZ-5251 “Voyage”, GolAZ-6228 “VoyageL” and GolAZ-5291 “Cruise”. The buses are manufactured to the highest standards of paintwork, welding and assembly and this enables Golitsyno Bus Plant products to conform to the market requirements with regards to quality and reliability. The Plant development strategy till 2016 envisages upgrading of the entire model range as well as designing and producing new bus versions.
In 2012 Golytsyno Bus Plant completed retooling and modernization of its production facilities as part of the model range upgrade. The Plant’s new product portfolio is represented by extra large coaches GolAZ-6228.10 “Voyage”, large coaches GolAZ-5251 “Voyage”, and tourist coaches GolAZ-5291“Cruise” that are built using new assemblies and components. The GolAZ equipment stock was upgraded as part of the Plant modernization: new welding and painting equipment, tools and tooling were purchased, primer application and body frame flattening areas were set up.
In the beginning of 2012 GAZ Group concluded contracts with Mostransavto bus service operator for supply of 709 GolAZ-5251 “Voyage” coaches with the total value of over 6 billion roubles. These buses will be used to transport guests and participants of Sochi XXII Olympic and XI Paralympic Games in 2014.
