"Semilukskii Ogneupornyi Zavod" (Semiluki Fireclay Plant) is one of the oldest Russian enterprise-producers of refractories. In 2011, the plant celebrated its 85th anniversary. Built on Latnenskое deposits of refractory clay, one of the first-born of industrialization in 30s - "Semiluki Fireclay Plant" - in 1931 it produced 30 tonnes of fireclay refractories. In 1973 it started the production of unique products - plates for slide gate casting ladles and corundum lightweight products.
