The manufacturing tasks take place at the plant in Gbelany, near Zilina, where 57 employees work. Hyundai Steel Slovakia s.r.o. was founded in 2005, and construction of the plant began at the same time. A year later, successful trial production took place, and full-scale production commenced. In 2007, the company obtained the ISO 9001:2000 certification, making Hyundai Steel Slovakia s.r.o. the first Korean company certified in Slovakia.
