Martinská teplarenska a.s. continues in producing and supplying heat and electric power in Martin. The history of the Martin heating station is closely connected with development of the Turiec region after the Second World War. The first foundation stone was laid in 1949. The modern history of the Martin heating station is connected with dissolution of the state enterprise SSE Zilina, to which the Martin heating station belonged. In 2016, MH Manazement, a.s. became 100% owner of Martinska teplarenska.
