Sino-Thai Engineering & Construction Pcl is a Thailand-based company located in Bangkok. It was founded in 1962 by Mr. Chavarat Charnvirakul with a registered capital of 500,000 Baht and five staff. Initially, the company focused on fabricating steel structures for the Thai construction industry. In 1967, the company was registered as Sino-Thai Engineering and Construction Company Limited (STECON) to accommodate its rapid growth. STECON expanded its business to include construction contracting, sales, maintenance and repair of industrial machinery, and property development. Despite the worldwide recession in the late 1980s and early 1990s, STECON continued to grow and became the first construction company to be listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand in 1992, with a registered capital of 300 million Baht. Today, STECON Group is one of the top construction companies in Thailand, with over ten affiliates and a strong presence in the regional market. The company offers a wide range of services in infrastructure, building, power and energy, industrial, and environment sectors. Its projects include mass transit transportation, elevated roads, highways, office buildings, factories, refineries, wastewater treatment, and more.
