ABC Taiwan Electronics Corp. was established in 25th May 1979 in Yangmei town, and began the production of choking coil. In 1982, self-built plant was completed, so the company moved to its present new factory. The APL type of axial inductor-based automatic processing line began production. In 1983, the foreign department was set up to export product to Hong Kong. In 1984, EMI Filter and DC-DC Converter were completely developed. In 1985, EMI Filter SIF Series were recognized by UL and CSA. In 1986, SMD Transformer and Pulse Transformer were completely developed. Japan Associated Factory - OEL Corp. started business. In 1988, SMD Wire Wound Chip Inductor began its production. In 1990, the new CM Series with SMD Balun Transformer completed its development. In 1991, the company started to export high-frequency transformers to Europe, and set up Singapore Branch. In 1992, SMD Filter Bead (filter component) was developed. In 1995, Panyu factory as a subsidiary of ABC Electronics was opened. In 1996, the Taiwan factory was certified by ISO9002 of BVQI. And Shanghai office was set up in the same year. In December 1997, China Panyu factory got certification by ISO9002 of TUV. In 1998, second factory in Panyu started to build. SE0807 Line Matching Transformer series was certified by EN60950 of TUV. The expansion of Taiwan head office was completed in 2000. Materials Laboratory was established in 2001 and the company won the 10th National Award. In 2002, Taiwan factory was certified by ISO9001 of BVQI. Fecera ferrite and ceramic composite materials, MPC holes of single-crystal high-frequency ceramic capacitors completed their development. Company stock issued public offering in December 2002.
