BenQ Materials Corporation (Taiwan, China)

Set up in Jul. 1998, BenQ Materials Corporation began to build its first CD-RW manufacturing line in Sep. 1998. In Aug. 1999, it began to build CD-R manufacturing line. In Oct. 1999, it was permitted for the public offering. In Apr. 2000, the manufacturing equipment in Eastern Factory was installed for the production. In Sep. 2000, Malaysia subsidiary AcerMediaTechnology(L)Co. and Suzhou Daxin Science and Technology Electronics Co., Ltd. which ere permitted for the manufacturing and sales of batteries in mainland. In Jan. 2002, AcerMediaTechnology,Inc. was changed to DaxonTechnologyInc. In Feb. 2002, Malaysia subsidiary DaxonTechnolgySdn.Bhd. was set up. In Feb. 2003, Daxin Opticial and Electricial Co., Ltd. (Suzhou Industrial Park) which was permitted for the manufacturing and sales of polarizers in mainland. In Sep. 2003, it landed on GreTai. The situation of the main raw materials supply is as follows: plastic capsules, sputtering target, dyes, CDCase and others are needed for the production. New products are planned to be developed such as DVD+/-R, DVD+/-RW and polarizers. . R & D team includes senior researchers at the institute, the graduate students of domestic universities and the marketing experts in the field of computer. Investee companies are: DTM, DTL and Suzhou Daxin in mainland.
