Chih Lien Industrial Co., Ltd. was established in 1973. The company was listed in the Taiwan Stock Exchange in 1996. After expanding capacity and moving factories, its head office and factory are located in Shin-Wu Hsiang, Tao Yuan Hsien, Taiwan. In 1997, the company invested Chih Lien Steel Wire & Wire Rope (Dong Guan) Co., Ltd. to found up-to-date Dong-Guan factory in China. The company has been using the state-of-the-art drawing machines imported from Japan and Europe to produce and supply precision and excellent steel wire and steel bar material. Chih Lien was the first domestic company to develop free cutting steel and alloy steel in Taiwan. Chih Lien is primarily engaged in the manufacture, processing and trading of steel wires and steel bars. The company provides steel wires, including high-carbon steel wires, low-carbon steel wires, springs and annealed wires, which are applied in manufacture of umbrellas, springs, steel cables, screws and sports apparatus, among others, as well as steel bars, including cutting steels, medium-carbon steels, alloy steels and stainless steels, among others, which are applied in manufacture of electronic, computer, bicycle, motorcycle and automobile components, as well as industrial tools and components. The company distributes its products primarily in Taiwan, Mainland China, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia.
