Ming Yang Corp was established in 1977 with a capital asset of NT$100,000 for selling automotive lighting components. In 1978, Ming Yang Corp. relocated the Lu-Kang plant at Deer Port to manufacture the metal brackets of automotive lighting equipment, and branched out the business dept. at Tai-Chung City. In 1981, it imported plastic injection machineries and established the Mould Developing Department. This started the production of a variety of auto lamp, which became one of Depo’s major products. In 1993 it got E-Mark certificated. In 1996, it got SAE certificated. In 1997, it got ISO 9002 certificated. In 1998, it got QS 9000 certified. In 2001, DEPO Education Foundation was established.In 2002, it was renamed to DEPO Auto Parts Ind. Co., Ltd. In 2002, it got ISO 9001 & QS 9000 certified. In 2004, it went listed in TSE. In 2004, it got TS 16949 certificated. In 2005, it got CAPA certificated. In 2006, it got ISO 14001 certified. DEPO was consecutively 5th granted the award TOP 20 Taiwan Global Brands, from 2005 to 2009.
