Headway Advanced Materials Inc. (Taiwan, China)

Founded in 1976, Headway Advanced Materials Inc. produces PU stiffening agent and leather treatment. In 1979 the company was engaged in PU waterproof material development and production, PU track material and so on. In 1984 it began to develop and produce of PU resins, adhesives, foams and so on. In 1987 it invested into the industrial steam vacuum, to manufacture and trade of hot stamping and stamping production of films for use in whole or in part of the transcription film, packaging materials steamed with film, decorative film, electronic insulating and conductive films. In 1988 with the German BASF Group, the joint venture Yi Qi Chemical was set up to produce polyurethane resin systems include pre-polymer composition material and uncomplete products. In 1994 the company reinvested in Shanghai Huiyu fine chemicals to produce PU cross-linking agent, PU course materials and other products. In 1996 it obtained the ISO9002 international quality certification. In 1997 the company reinvested in Shanghai Xinyu Resin, and started to manufacture synthetic leather PU resin production and treatments. In 1998 Imperial Chemical Industries and Headway merged, made Headway a professional chemical business body branching resin, foil technology and specialty chemicals. Worked together with German BASF Group, the company invested in mainland China, and set up Zhan Yu polyurethane (China) to develop into construction industry. In 2000 through Headway advanced investment, the company invested in Chong Yu-tech material to develop nanomaterials by Sol-Gel method. In 2001 it applied to the Ministry of Economic Affairs Industrial Technology and approved grants to develop thin-film MLCC with the release, as preparations to enter the electronic materials market. Public offering stared in 2002. And TPU Division began mass production.
