Teapo Electronic Corp. was established in 1979 engaged in the production and distribution of capacitors. In 1987 the company was BSI certified as the first IECQ qualified company in Taiwan. In 1991 the company became a BABT qualified factory and NEMKOTBM certified. The company also was the first capacitor manufacturer that was ISO9002 certified in Taiwan. On August 29, 1998 the company was listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange. The company provides electrolytic capacitors, plastic film capacitors and chip capacitors. The company's products are used as components for general telecommunication products, consumer products, such as digital versatile discs (DVDs), video and audio products, game machines, phones, as well as computer information products, such as motherboards, monitors and computer peripheral products. The company distributes its products in the domestic market and to overseas markets, including the rest of Asia, the Americas and Europe.
