On July 25, 1983 the company was established in Yongkang City, Tainan County. In 1994, it began the development and manufacture of electric mowers and trimmers. In 1997, it passed ISO-9002 quality certification and in 1998 it obtained ISO-9001 quality certification. It began to develop and manufacture the activated carbon. The company’s electric vehicle curtains were sold to the German BMW Depot and installed in 5 Series cars. It was the first successful domestic sale of the German BMW. In 2000,the Ministry of Economic Affairs issued a "Rising Star Award". . Kunshan Wong Tin Auto Parts Industry Co., Ltd. was established in Mainland China. In 2002 the auto curtains and activated carbon plant was established in the United States. In 2003 the U.S. Wong Tin formally operated its production and delivery and passed ISO-14000 certification.
