Bank of Taipei was established in 1917, with the original name Taipei Dajiang Credit Association. In 1945, it changed its name to Taipei Credit Association, and then to Taipei First Credit in 1947. In 2004, it changed its name to Taipei First Credit Co., Ltd. In July 2007, it was restructured to First Capital Commercial Bank. Currently it has 22 branches in Taipei, a sales department, 4 simple branches, 17 branches.
