Toung Loong Textile Mfg. Co., Ltd. was founded in 1960 and opened in 1961, engaging in producing various industrial lines. In 1973 Taoyuan plant started to earth. In 1976 the company bought new European TWISTED machine and computerized dyeing,transforming Toung Loong from professional thread factory into an a integrated manufacturer with wire, cloth and yarn production. In 1990 it set up the second factory in Fangyuan Industrial Park in Changhua, producing professional yarn and processing yarn. In July 1991 its Zhanghua Factory started to unearth. In the end of 1992 its stock went public. In 1996 it was approved of OTC listing. In May 1996, its stock went listed in OTC market for trading, as the first textile company's shares. In 1997 its Zhanghua Factory was expanded. In 1998, the company obtained ISO-9002 quality certification, and its factory in Vietnam was put in the production of sutures.
