Founded in August 1999, Ultra Chip, is mainly engaged in R&D　manufacture　sale of liquid crystal display driver IC. In October 1999，to ensure the source of product technology, it is decided to invest in PS Group Holding Ltd., holding 50% share. In January 2000, the company began the product design business under the resolution of the shareholders temporary meeting. In February 200, it increased investment in JPS Group Holding Ltd., holding 100% share. In April 2001, through its subsidiary JPS Group Holding Ltd., the company indirectly invested in Jing Hong Microelectronics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. in China. In May 2001, the product design of 4-gray driver IC (UC1605) was completed, and then in August, the first driver IC (UC1606) started mass production. In November 2001, the design of the first colorful driver IC (UC1680) was complete. At the same time, Ultra Chip issued public offering by the Securities & Futures Commission. In February 2002, the 4-gray driver IC (UC1605, UC1607) began mass production. In March 2002, the mass production of 16-gray driver IC (UC1611) was set out. In July 2002, the design of second colorful driver IC (UC1682) was completed, followed by the third colorful drive IC (UC1687) in August. The main business operations include electronic component manufacturing, data storage and processing equipment manufacturing, wireless communication machinery manufacturing, information software services, retail sales of information software, electronic materials retail trade, telecommunication equipment retail business, electronic materials wholesale, telecommunications equipment wholesale trade, and product design services.
