Ukrgasbank PAT is a reliable state financial institution located in Kyiv, Ukraine. It has been in operation for almost 30 years and is considered one of the country's systemically important banks. The bank serves various customer segments, including individuals, sole proprietors, small and medium-sized businesses, and large corporations. Ukrgasbank is among the top five largest banks in Ukraine in terms of asset volume. The majority of the bank's shareholder capital, 94.94%, is owned by the state through the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine. Ukrgasbank has a new focus on green banking, financing energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. It is the only eco-bank in Ukraine and a leader in green financing. The bank also prioritizes minimizing its carbon footprint and has financed over 900 sustainable projects in Ukraine, contributing to a reduction of nearly 1.6 million tons of CO2 emissions annually. The bank is a leading provider of trade finance and has received full support from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in this area. Ukrgasbank has been recognized as one of the top three banks for trade finance in Eastern Europe by the financial publication Global Trade Review for the past two years. Amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, the bank has focused on critical import deals, with its trade finance portfolio exceeding 15 billion Ukrainian hryvnias. Despite the challenges posed by the conflict, Ukrgasbank continues to demonstrate stable branch operations and quality customer service. It provides credit support to businesses and finances the reconstruction of Ukrainian cities' infrastructure. The bank has gained the trust of over 200,000 active clients, resulting in a significant increase in term deposits and new business loans. Ukrgasbank has established a network of branches capable of operating seamlessly during wartime conditions. It has joined the Power Banking network, initiated by the National Bank of Ukraine, which enables the provision of banking services, including cash withdrawals, payments, transfers, currency exchange, even in the absence of electricity. These branches are equipped with alternative energy sources and backup communication channels. In 2023, the bank's effective operations have led to improved financial performance and operational indicators. Ukrgasbank actively engages in volunteer and charitable activities to support Ukraine's victory. It collaborates with charitable foundations to raise funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and has introduced the "Rebuilding Cities Together" deposit to aid the reconstruction of Ukrainian cities affected by the conflict. During the first year of the war, Ukrgasbank donated 375 million Ukrainian hryvnias to support the Armed Forces (a total of 390 million Ukrainian hryvnias for charitable purposes since the beginning of the year).
