Grupo Zuliano, C.A. (Venezuela)

Grupo Zuliano, C.A. is a pioneering company in the creation of joint ventures in the Zulia region. It was founded in 1970 by a group of Zulian entrepreneurs who shared a vision of progress and saw the extraordinary opportunity to participate in the development of the Venezuelan petrochemical industry by combining their private capital with the state-owned basic industries. Grupo Zuliano, C.A. was established in 1972 and its shares were listed on the Caracas Stock Exchange. Throughout its extensive history, Grupo Zuliano has been involved in the construction and development of numerous companies, including Estilenos del Zulia (Estizulia, the first joint venture in Zulia), Polímeros del Lago C.A. (Polilago), Polipropileno de Venezuela S.A. (Propilven), Plásticos del Lago C.A. (Plastilago), Resinas Lineales S.A. (Resilin), and Productora de Sal, S.A. (Produsal). Currently, as an investment fund, the company has a stake in three important petrochemical companies: Propileno de Falcón, C.A. (Profalca), dedicated to the separation of Propane-Propylene; Polipropileno de Venezuela, S.A. (Propilven); and Poliolefinas Internacionales, C.A. (Polinter), joint venture companies producing thermoplastic resins.
