Although the subject was established officially in Vietnam in 1995, this company has a long history in the Vietnamese market when the Nestlé Group had its first representative office in Ho Chi Minh City in 1912. After being established, the subject inherited many advantages of the Nestlé Group's representative office created before. Up to now, the subject has 28 experience years in producing nutritional foods and beverages in the Vietnamese market. Currently, the company operates 4 factories and 2 distribution centers located in Dong Nai province and Hung Yen province, with a team of more than 2,300 employees, and creates indirect jobs in the supply chain for more than 10,000 workers. Every year, the subject purchases about 20-25% of the total amount of Vietnamese coffee, with an average value of USD 700 million /year.At the end of 2021, the subject announced an additional investment of USD 132 million (equivalent to more than VND 3 trillion) with the goal of doubling high-quality coffee processing capacity, serving the domestic market and exporting products to more than 25 countries, including demanding markets in Europe, Japan, America, etc. Specifically, the subject is expanding production lines of high-value products such as Nescafé Dolce Gusto capsule coffee, freeze-dried coffee... In particular, previously, some coffee product lines only imported from Europe, are now produced in Vietnam for the first time. In addition to technology investment, this company strengthens research and development activities, diversifies product portfolios and creates added value to access and exploit demanding markets.In December 2023, once again, the subject was voted the Most Sustainable Enterprise in Vietnam in 2023 in the manufacturing sector. This is the third consecutive year that Nestlé Vietnam has been recognized as the Most Sustainable Enterprise in Vietnam in the manufacturing sector. Besides, Nestlé Vietnam is honored to be the only foreign-invested (FDI) enterprise in the 2023 ranking of "Typical Enterprises for Employees" to receive a certificate of merit from the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs. In Jan 2023, Nestlé Vietnam entered the Top 100 largest corporate income tax-paying enterprises in Vietnam. From 2016 until now, since the General Department of Taxation began publishing the list of the 1,000 largest corporate income taxpayers in Vietnam, Nestlé Vietnam has always been on the list of businesses with many contributions to the state budget and national socio-economic development goals. Besides, the subject is also in the "Top 5 pioneering enterprises implementing circular economy and cutting carbon emissions". It has set a net zero emissions target (Net Zero) by 2050. In Vietnam, the subject has 4 factories. In addition to reducing emissions in production at the factory, the subject is making efforts to reduce emissions throughout the entire value chain.
