Vina Kraft - one of the largest paper packaging manufacturers in Vietnam, is a joint venture between Siam Kraft Industry Co., Ltd (a subsidiary of SCG Packaging Public Company Limited in Thailand) and Rengo Company Limited (a large paper packaging manufacturer in Japan). Packaging paper products such as carton, paperboard, wrapping paper, corrugated paper, and other types are supplied in both domestic and foreign markets (mainly for China). On 24 Apr 2017, Vina Kraft inaugurated factory No. 2 at Ben Cat Town, Binh Duong Province. The factory is equipped with production lines according to global technology standards, which has a total capacity of up to 500,000 tons/year of medium-sized paper. Its factory is well-invested to save raw materials and reduce pollution, achieving certifications for Quality Management ISO 9001, Total Quality Management, Total Productive Maintenance, Environmental Management ISO 14001, Occupational Health and Safety Assessment…On 03 Mar 2021, the company started to invest a factory in Vinh Phuc Province. This project has a capacity of about 870,000 tons of packaging paper per year, with a total investment of more than VND 8,100 billion, and is expected to come into operation in 2024. According to a source, affected by China's unstable growth prospects and global inflation, SCG (Siam Cement Group), Thailand's largest materials manufacturer, has postponed the stock market listing for a subsidiary and may delay the start of the carton factory project in Vinh Phuc Province of Vietnam. According to information from the latest interview, this factory has not been completed yet.
