Methanol and acetic acid complex MSK, based in Kikinida, was established in 1991. It operates 6 units with production capacities of: 19,000 Nm3/h of oxygen, 300,000 t/y of synthesis gas, 200,000 t/y of methanol, 55,000 t/y of carbon monoxide and 100,000 t/y of acetic acid.
In October 2008, MSK halted operations for 12 months due to lack of raw materials and machinery upgrade.
