History:
2020: The Company was incorporated on South Africa on 17 August 2020.
2024: On 30 January 2024, Transaction Capital announced that its board of directors had resolved, in principle, to distribute the Company Shares held by Transaction Capital to TC Shareholders by way of a pro rata distribution in specie and to list the Shares on the Main Board of the JSE. On 13 February 2024, Transaction Capital released an announcement regarding the unlocking of value for TC Shareholders, comprising: the firm intention to unbundle its Shares in WeBuyCars and its separate Listing on the Main Board of the JSE, the WeBuyCars Share Issue of R760 million, the Private Placement of WBC Shares of R500 million, a Pre-listing Capital Raise of R750 million and the withdrawal of the cautionary announcement issued by Transaction Capital on 30 January 2024. The Company was changed from WBC Holdings Proprietary Limited to We Buy Cars Holdings Limited in March 2024.
The Company listed on 11 April 2024.
The Historical Financial Information for the Group is for the periods ended 31 March 2021 (seven months), 31 March 2022 (twelve months), 30 September 2022 (six months) and the financial year to 30 September 2023 (twelve months).
