National Breweries Plc is a public limited company incorporated in Zambia under the Companies Act, 2017. It is listed on the Lusaka Stock Exchange and was established in 1968. The company is the leading producer of traditional African beer (TAB), specifically Chibuku Shake Shake and Chibuku Super. These TAB products are pasteurized, giving them a longer shelf life and allowing for wider distribution. National Breweries Plc produces and distributes TAB under the Chibuku Shake Shake and Chibuku Super brand names. Chibuku is available in cartons, PET bottles, and returnable plastic bottles. In October 2018, the company launched a new 1.25 litre PET Chibuku Super pack, aimed at promoting a sharing culture and strengthening friendships. The success of this pan-African brand is attributed to its commercial brewing process, which ensures consistent quality and safety for consumers.
